Wondering how to prepare for your interview? We have plenty of resources to help:
Our Joint Medical Program's selection process has two components. You must meet the minimum academic eligibility requirements, and you must satisfy an assessment of your personal qualities.
Remember, our Joint Medical Program is world-class and entry is competitive. Each year, 170 places are available in the program across both the University of Newcastle and the University of New England; more than 3000 people apply for those spaces.
The Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) will send offers of admission and unsuccessful notices in January 2018. If your application is successful, you'll be offered a place at either the University of Newcastle or the University of New England. There is no guarantee that you will receive an offer for your preferred location. Though we'll try to match you with your location preference, your offer will be based on available places. You'll be informed of your allocation in your letter of offer. Transfers between universities are rare, and are only possible under extenuating circumstances.
Information concerning the offer rounds, including the release dates, is available on the UAC website.
